Tasks and Responsibilities

1. Developing and updating the risk management framework and methodology at the university in accordance with best practices and internationally recognized standards.
2. Supervising the implementation of the risk management methodology at the university level and coordinating with organizational units to ensure the integration of risk identification, assessment, and management processes.
3. Managing and updating the institutional risk register in cooperation with the university’s organizational units, and following up on key risks that may affect the achievement of strategic and operational objectives.
4. Reviewing and analyzing risk registers and mitigation plans prepared by organizational units, and evaluating the effectiveness of measures taken to reduce risks.
5. Contributing to the development of risk response plans and preventive measures, in a manner that enhances the university’s ability to address challenges and mitigate their potential impacts.
6. Preparing periodic reports on the status of risks in the university and submitting them to senior management to support decision-making processes.
7. Providing technical and advisory support to organizational units in implementing risk management methodologies and enhancing institutional governance practices.
8. Promoting a risk management culture within the university by organizing training programs and awareness activities for employees.
9. Analyzing incidents and unexpected events, linking them to the institutional risk register, and proposing necessary preventive measures to reduce their recurrence.
10. Coordinating with relevant units, such as internal audit and public safety, to ensure the integration of the university’s risk management system.
11. Documenting and updating risk management-related forms and documents in a way that supports the implementation of approved methodologies at the university.
