On Thursday, October 31, 2024, the first session of the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Center Council for the academic year 2024/2025 was held at Yarmouk University, chaired by Professor Dr. Fadia Miyas, Vice President for Planning, Development, Scientific Research, and Quality, with the participation of council members both in person and via Microsoft Teams at the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Center.
The session began with a warm welcome to the council members, who bring extensive expertise and a comprehensive vision in the fields of quality and strategic planning. The meeting addressed several important topics, including:

Policies: Twenty new policies were launched on the university's website, and a new set of policies was presented for final approval.

Training Guide: The training guide for the academic staff, based on the European Digital Competence Framework, was approved. This guide will serve as a reference for training programs and courses aligned with the faculty’s training needs.

New Logo: A new logo for the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Center was approved.

Form Updates: The meeting included updates to the forms used in performance evaluation surveys.

Future Work Plans: The council discussed the center’s future work plans.
Dr. Fadia Miyas emphasized the importance of fostering a culture of quality and applying its various elements to enhance the university’s local and global rankings and accreditations, thereby contributing to a better educational environment that supports the advancement of education and improvement of its outcomes. She also highlighted the importance of developing the strategic plan for the years 2026-2030, with a high-level committee, supported by subcommittees, set to work on its preparation. This plan aims to keep pace with developments and enhance the university’s journey toward excellence and innovation in education, scientific research, and quality.
