Universities provide opportunities for sustained access to educational services that change people's lives and advance the social and economic levels of entire regions and communities. The mission of building awareness is considered one of the most important privileges offered by universities, in terms of providing the appropriate environment for building partnerships and promoting a culture of participatory action to address the major challenges of our time and form a force for the common good. In 2022, the world gradually opened its borders after two years of closure to a new global scene. After the countries of the world went through a state of geopolitical instability, wars, food and energy insecurity, increasing climate disasters, rising inflation, and the threat of economic stagnation, and extreme poverty rates increased for the first time in a generation, which led to the erasure of decades of progress and construction, the need to adopt new strategies adopted globally to emphasize sustainability issues and everyone's responsibility towards them. Jordan has suffered and continues to suffer from conflicts around it and has been affected in a disturbing manner by the effects of asylum and displacement, considering a volatile region, with few and scarce resources. At Yarmouk University, as an institution committed to our educational, research, and societal missions and responsibilities, and our university as one of the most important universities in Jordan, we are determined to bring about positive change for the public good. Our responsibility is built on the “Sustainability is not an option: It is the way!!!!”. We bush ourselves to the lime, to revitalize our universities, reconnect with each other, and connect with our local, national, and international partners, to achieving the sustain goals. However, this work does not stop at the rankings. We are continuing our efforts by implementing a new graduate qualification set to enhance our students' impact in the post-university world. We are committed to researching priority areas to achieve real impact around achieving holistic sustainability, and we have taken steps in a complete transformation. We are moving towards relying on solar energy at our university to become carbon neutral, and we will continue work based on the applied scientific approach to ensure a healthy, sustainable future for future generations. {Together we can unleash potential} and make an impact for a healthy, educated future characterized by justice, equality, and equal opportunity.
